<li>These are network shares (share drive / NAS (Network Attached Storage)) That users with <em>administrative privileges</em> can access remotely.</li>
<li>They have a naming convention that looks like the normal drive letter abbreviation but is subsequently followed by a dollar sign:

</ul>
</li>
<li>There are also Windows OS Admin shares

</ul>

<li>and printer folder admin shares
<ul>

<li>The dollar sign at the end of any share indicates it is a hidden share</li>
